Lake Sentani is located in the area of Jayapura district, Papua province. Lake Sentani is situated at an altitude of 75 m above sea level. Sentani lake has an area of approximately 9360 hectares and is part of a vast nature reserve cydoops total is approximately 245,000 hectares. Lake Sentani is the largest lake in Papua.
Specialty of Lake Sentani is the number of small islands with green plants in the middle of the lake. Some islands are inhabited by the population. Lake Sentani have clear water and blue in color when viewed.
If we are to Jayapura from Sentani airport of course we will pass Lake Sentani. In a couple of places on the edge of the lake there are restaurants that provide a variety of menu while enjoying views of Lake Sentani.
