BILI-BILI DAM LAKE

Bili-bili dam lake so called because real lake is Bili-bili Jeneberang river flanked by two hills and dammed up to be Bili-bili lakes. The main function of this dam is for irrigation, power generation and also the source of drinking water. In addition, this dam also serves to hold sediment from the mountain Bawakaraeng. Another benefit the dam is to fish farming and tourism.

The view on the lake Bili-Bili quite beautiful. Located at an altitude of 97 m and surrounded by hills with a height of about 300 m and surrounded by woods make it a beautiful lake scenery. In the resorts there are Bili-bili-Saung Saung who sale food while enjoying the scenery. In addition there are also boats or rafts for rent for around the lake.

 Bili-bili Lake is located in Gowa district, precisely at the edge of the Makasar Malino axis road, South Sulawesi province. From macassar can be reached by vehicle approximately 1 hour.
