Bunaken Marine Park is part of the municipality of Manado, North Sulawesi province. It lies about 15 km from the city of Manado. Bunaken marine park covers an area of the archipelago which consists of five islands, namely the island of Bunaken, Manado Tua island, Siladen island, Mantehang islands and Naeng besar island.
The main attraction is the beauty of Bunaken underwater reef marine park which is located in the southeast off the coast of Bunaken Island. It is said that the beauty of the underwater reef was the most beautiful in the world. In addition to Bunaken island, there are also some dive point in the other islands.
In the waters of these reefs to live different kinds of fauna such as turtles, sharks, stingrays and more. There is also life protected the ancient fish, coleacant fish.

To enjoy the beauty of Bunaken marine park there are a few ways. The first is to use a motor boat that at the bottom of the glass is transparent so that we can see the underwater beauty of Bunaken just from boat and traveled along the edge of the reef. This can be done more efficient is by motor boat ride along the other tourists. Transit is about Rp 50,000, - per person. However, it must wait until a boat full load.
Another way is by swimming, snorkeling or diving. But for this we must spend more in having to hire a boat and snorkeling or diving equipment. To rent a boat will cost about Rp 300,000, - to Rp 800,000, -. There are two boat rental places in Manado which was from the Marina dock and from Bersehati market. But the bersehati market is generally cheaper.
