One World Trade Center (also known as 1 World Trade Center or WTC 1, formerly known as the Freedom Tower / Freedom Tower) is the main building complex of the new World Trade Center in New York City downtown Manhattan. skyscrapers 104 floor standing on the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 hectare) World Trade Center site, occupying the former location of the original World Trade Center 6. Relocation of underground utility construction, foundations, and foundations for the building began on April 27, 2006.
