YOGYAKARTA SULTANATE PALACE

Yogyakarta Sultanate Palace is located in the city of Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta province. Kraton is a complex of Sultan's Palace residence Ngayogyakarta, although the sultanate has been joined with a united Indonesia.

Palace was built by Sultan Hamangkubowono I in 1755 after a Giyanti agreement between sultanate of Mataram with VOC.

Part of the palace complex is a museum containing a collection of imperial goods such as gifts from the kings of European countries, a replica of heritage palace gamelan and others..

Some areas open to the public palace partly closed. Broadly speaking parts of the palace complex is the gate-gate, the walls of the fort, the square north and south, the parks, the wards for the ceremony and activities of the empire, the palace residence of the sultan and relatives, garage / stables, museum.
