AMAZING INDONESIA: HIKING ON GEDE-PANGRANGO MOUNTAIN

Mount Gede 2958 m and Mount Pangrango 3019 m are twin mountain located in West Java province. the Pangrango Gede mountain region Administratively, the three districts bordering that is Bogor, Sukabumi and Cianjur.

the mountain Mount Gede Pangrango is favoarit to climb. Every weekend hundreds of people climbed the mountain. This is due to the beauty of mountain scenery, Surya krncana valley where there are an overgrown field of the edelweiss flower (endless flowers) may also be located relatively close to the urban areas of Greater Jakarta, bopuncur, Sukabumi and Bandung.

There are several hiking paths to the mountain of Gede Pangrango namely:

1. Cipanas Cibodas Line, this route is the most frequently traveled route because it is the official route and relative easy. Route start from Cibodas Botanical Garden.

2. Cipendawa Line Cianjur, point closest to the mountain path Gede-Pangrango and prior to the peak

through the valley Surya Kencana. This path is often called Gunung Putri path, because after the farm

cipendawa cock will pass through the village past that Named Gunung putri village. But often ambiguous because of frequent

mentioned entry sukabumi region (possibly another gunung putri villages that do exist in sukabumi)

cipendawa.

3. Line Salabintana Sukabumi. This path is not recommended for beginners because of the steep and dangerous route.

4. Line Situgunung Sukabumi. This path is also not recommended because the track path is less clear if than three previous route.

Author's own experiences when climbing Mount Gede Pangrango + / - 20 years ago feels less comfortable. Because a lot of climbers who climbed Mount Gede Pangrango "Like the Night Market."
