AMAZING INDONESIA: Mount Bromo

Mount Bromo 2392 m is located in East Javanese Province in Indonesia. Bromo region included in 3 districts which is Lumajang, Probolinggo & Malang. The gate that most easy to reach are by Probolinggo. There are good road,
transportation and many lodging served. Last village is Cemoro lawang. It takes 38 km from Probolinggo to Cemoro Lawang through the winding and uphill road. Cemoro lawang placed at 2217 m height. On cemoro lawang we can see Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and Caldera with sandy ocean. But we can not see mount Semeru (the highest Mountain on Java island 3676 m). To see Mount Batok, Bromo, and Semeru together we have too moved to view point at north west from Cemoro lawang around 3 km far with elevation 2313m height.
Another route is from Malang or Pasuruan pass through tosari until Gunung Panjakan.Pananjakan is highest point on edge of Caldera that vehicle can reach 2750 m height. The road more small and rough than Cemoro Lawang. Pananjakan is best view to see Mount Bromo with Mount Semeru Background. Also good place to see sun rise.
Besides Mount attraction, the panoramic path to Panajakan and CemoroLawang are also great. Also there are some people sells edelweiss (forever flower) along the road. I called both Pananjakan & Cemoro Lawang are Land Above the Cloud, that because sometimes we can see cloud below of us from there.
