AMAZING INDONESIA: CIREMAI MOUNTAIN

Ciremai mountain is a highest mountain in west Java. The height is 3076 m. Ciremai Mountain locate in Kuningan District about 250 km east of Jakarta.
To reached Mount ciremai first we can go to Cirebon By Train or by Bus. After that we used bus to Kuningan. Some bus have direct destination to Kuningan for example from Jakarta or Bandung. There are two route to reach top of the Ciremai mountain, fisrt from Linggarjati second from Palutungan.

Linggarjati Route
Linggarjati is a Historic place. On lingggarjati conducted negotiation between Indonesia & Dutch at Clash war. If we use Linggarjati route we can stop from the bus at linggarjati branching road. After that we can use small pubblic transportation called angkot to Linggarjati village office. From here to the top mountain can only reached by walk. It is take about 5 - 7 hours uphill walking. So you have better to prepare a tent for spend the night at a middle way. There are another option that we can start walking at night and arrive on the top of mountain at early morning. So we don't have to spend the night on the way to the top.
There are no water source along the way. So we had to carry enough water for drink and cooking.
Palutungan route
With this route, we can stop from the bus at kuningan bus terminal. After that we can use angkot to Palutungan village. From here to the top of the mountain takes 5 - 7 hours only reached by walk. There are creek about quarter way to the top. we can refill our water stock there.

Both route pass throgh the forest and there are no residensial. View of the way to the top are great. from the top of the mountain we can see cloud below of us.
