The bridge was built on 1962-1965. The special featured of this bridge is that bridge equipped with open and close mechanism, and the only one in Indonesia with this mechanism.
King Size ship can pass through bellow th bridge with this mechanism. It is interseting to see opening and closing proces of the bridge.
Since 1970 the bridge stop operating open & close.
Recently there is a Park Below the Bridge.
Best time to visit Ampera bridge is on afternoon til the evening.
