Rawa Pening Lake located in Semarang district. Rawa Pening is a border of four sub district which are Tuntang Sub district, Banyubiru Sub district,  Sub district and Bawen Subdistrict as seen on map below.

Rawa Pening lake have a 2.670 hektare wide. Rawa Pening lake located on valey of  Merbabu Mount Telomoyo Mount, Kendil Mount dan Ungaran Mount. Lake Rawa pening is the estuary of the river Tuntang. The lake is experiencing rapid silting. Have ever happened almost the entire surface is covered swamp water hyacinth. This weed has also been covered Tuntang River, especially in the upper reaches. Combating invasive species is done by doing the cleaning as well as the utilization of water hyacinth training as craft

There are several tourist spots around the lake Rawa Pening among which are the tourist attractions Bukit Cinta in the district of Banyu Biru, tourist attractions  Kampung Rawa in the district of Ambarawa and Rawa Permai in the Tuntang district. But if you just want to catch a glimpse of Lake Rawa Pening, this lake can be seen on the highway Salatiga - Tuntang, Tuntang Ambarawa Road, Highways and Roads Banyu Biru Muncul Raya street.

Location Lake Rawa pening at an altitude of about 464 m makes the atmosphere around the lake is quite cool. Location is surrounded by mountains also make great views of Lake Rawa Pening Very Beautiful.
