Near the city of Alahan Panjang, Solok district there are three adjacent lakes ar eAbove Lake , Below lake and Talang lake. the Above lake and the Below lake is more popular because of its size larger than Talang lake. the Abovelake and Below lake same size, so often called twin lakes. Although they called twin lakes but these lakes located separately and different altitudes. Below Lake is located at an altitude of 1458 m, Above lake lies at an altitude of 1525 m while the Talang lake lies at an altitude of 1663 m.

The shortest distance the above lake with Below Lake is approximately 2 km, while the closest distance the below lake to Talang Lake is 0.8 miles. Because it lies at an altitude mountainous areas, then there is quite cold air. You should prepare a sweater if it can not stand the cold.

The scenery at the third lake is very beautiful. Located
in hight altitude, the air is cool and surrounded by mountains mountain chain.
Around the lake there are several restaurants, cottages prepared
by the local government of Solok district. For those who want to get
around the lake, can use a boat to rent around the lake.

the Above lake, Below lake and Talang lake can be reached by land vehicles. From Padang city located about 57 km. Among Above Lake and Below Lake are the roadway. For Talang lake to take a while longer which is about 5 miles. Because it was relatively close together then do not miss the opportunity to visit three lakes as well.
