CENTRAL JAVA AGUNG MOSQUE, SEMARANG

Agung or Great Mosque of Central Java, Semarang is located in Gajah Raya street, Village Sambirejo, Gayamsari District, Semarang, Central Java province.

Central Java Grand Mosque is very beautiful and majestic with a land area of 10 hectares and extensive reach of the main building to 7,669 square meters and prayers yard area of 7,500 m2. Central Java Grand Mosque has a blend of architectural styles between Java, Central Java and Greece.

Central Java Grand Mosque can accommodate no less than 15,000 worshipers. Central Java Grand Mosque was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, in 2006. To enter kawasab Central Java Grand Mosque, visitors are free. However, if visitors want to enter certain areas such as Tower Asmaul Husna, visitors are required to pay Rp 3,000 per person for an hour visit between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-17:30 pm. And when visitors came in at 17:30 to 21:00 pm that rate increased to Rp 4,000 per person. For visitors who want to use the binoculars contained in Asmaul Husna Tower, then visitors must spend an additional fee of Rp 500, - per minute.
